promised pics

First, here's a pic of the card from last week's workshop...

The leaf stamp is part of the Nature A5 stamp et from PartiCraft.
And then there's a pic of my stall at the gala on Saturday. Unfortunately I didn't sell much.

I made a letter box out of a teabag box,
using some papers from PartiCraft and my Nestabilities dies, what do you think?

Today I've been playing with memory glass and cosmic shimmer glitter film...fun! pics later..

Thornhill gala

Tomorrow I'm off to Thornhill gala, it starts at 2pm, and there's lots of fun to be had.  I will have a table there demonstrating some techniques, and selling some of my handmade cards, candles etc...
It's taken me all afternoon and evening to get ready!
If you are anywhere near Thornhill (it's near Stirling), pop in to the gala and say hello.

WORKSHOP NEWS
This morning my workshop was fun.
We made DL size cards. I demonstrated how to use stamp images into ultra thick embossing crystals, and add colours to the molten crystals.
I'll put up a pic later...

Workshop fun!

Hi, the first workshop this term went well.  We are temporarily in a new venue, so here's a pic:
Yes, that is a plate of chocolate brownies, they were yummy.
We used Cosmic Shimmer watercolours to create shimmery backgrounds, then stamped and embossed images onto embossing acetate. The acetate was mounted on top of the background using brads. To make the brads match the colour of the embossed images, we used perfect medium and embossing powder on the brads.
Here's some pics of the cards:
I've left a space at the bottom of the purple one to add a greeting.  The greeting on the zebra card was made using a nestabilities die and edged with distress ink.
All the stamps and materials for making these cards are available from me through PartiCraft, contact me for more info.

There are places available for next week's workshop, so send me an email if you'd like to come.

Craft Workshops in Cumbernauld

Hi,
Just a quick post to remind you all that I am running some craft workshops over the next few weeks, and it's not to late to book your place!
The first one is on Friday next week (20th August) and I could really do with another couple of folk booking in or it's going to be a bit quiet.  If you're not sure you want to commit to the full block, you can just come to one and see if you enjoy it! The people who have been before find crafting very theraputic and it's great for reducing stress and enjoying a bit of "me-time".
Over the first block we will be making cards, mini-books, decorating/altering a mirror and if you particularly want to have a go at something else, just ask and I'll try to arrange it.
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Hope to see you there

Christmas designs by Julia

Hi all,
As promised, here are some designs using the new stamp set that my sister, Julia, designed.  She came over on Wednesday and we had a play with the stamps while our kids tried to distract us! Actually the 5 year-olds got the hang of using embossing boards, and everyone got inky!
These pics are all cards Julia made...mine didn't quite get finished!
The text works great as a background.
All the images were stamped with Adirondack Dye ink pads.
The small pictures fit neatly inside the baubles.

Let me know what you think!

The stamp set will be available on the PartiCraft website soon, for £9.99. or contact me.
