Exciting stuff - new stamp set!

This arrived in my mail while I was away!

This is a new stamp set, designed by my sister, Julia Dennison.  Last year I had some ideas for a set of Christmas stamps, but I'm not good at drawing, so I asked my sister to have a go, and this is what she came up with. I can't wait to make some cards with it...
This is a pic of the images on the set.  The small images can be stamped onto the bauble shapes, and the writing can be stamped around the edges.  The images will also fit some of the nesties dies.  It's ideal for making cards celebrating the birth of Christ.
The stamp set is A5 and will be available on the PartiCraft website shortly, for £9.99, in the meantime if you'd like to buy it, please email me.

Hopefully I'll have some samples made to show you in the next couple of weeks...

Good news - price drop!

Hi all, just a quick post to let you all know the good news - PartiCraft has dropped the price of ALL the A5 stamp sets to £9.99, so grab yourself a bargain! There are quite a few new designs available too, so go have a look.

So far I have survived just over 3 weeks of the school holidays, so less than 4 weeks left.  It's great to have the kids at home, but exhausting! Today we went to see the fourth Shrek film.. very good.

My crafting table is gathering dust though, no time for crafting just now.

Hope you are all enjoying the summer.

Summer holidays

Hi all, I've not been doing any crafting this week, schools are out, so been busy with the kids. 6 more weeks to go!

So, I thought I'd show you a card I made a few weeks ago - a kind of swing-card:
I've used the wording stamps from one of the religious stamp sets from PartiCraft, along with some Fancy Pants double-sided scrapbook paper, distress inks and a little embossing powder.

Let me know what you think!
Also, here is an engagement card I made recently, using angel fibres and film for the hearts LOVE. I used one of the words stamps from one of  the religious stamp sets again, on the back of the LOVE, inside the card. My nestibilities and borderabilities dies came in handy too.
PartiCraft have a new free gift available - so have a look at the website, and contact me if you'd like to host a party - it's fun!

New workshop dates

This Friday's workshop is the last one before the summer break.  Our schools break up on Friday so my kids are counting the days...

I have sorted out the new dates for workshops starting after the summer holidays, so here is the list:  I will post them on my sidebar too.

At the moment they are all on a Friday, but if there is demand, I can run them on additional days, contact me to register your interest.

Due to popular demand, and the fact that my youngest daughter will be at school all day come September, I have introduced some longer workshops - so check the times carefully.  If you just want to come to one workshop that is fine, but please book first to ensure you get a place.  The shorter workshops are an hour and a half, cost £6, and the longer ones are 3 hours plus a 15 min break. Please email me if you would like to book.  I will give a 10% discount for booking the whole block in advance.
So £37.80 if you pay for block 5 by August 5th
£27 if you pay for block 6 by September 10th
£27 if you pay for block 7 by October 22nd.

Award!

First of all, thanks to Smiffy for giving me this award.

It seems that all I have to do is to tell 6 outrageous lies about myself and 1 outrageous truth (or the other way round!) and then nominate 7 creative writers and post a link to their blogs and let them know! Simple?
1. I played the wolf in "little red riding hood" in ballet.
2. I got married at the age of 16.
3. I lived in Central Asia for 5 years.
4. I have a PhD in Astro-Physics.
5. I have 6 children.
6. I play the trombone.
7. I have no idea which one is true.

Ok, now all you have to do is work out which one is true!

Now on to my nominations....

1. My husband (who really is an amazing creative writer)
2. Lynsey (who always has fab creative ideas on her blog)
3. Calico Kate (who is an excellent writer, and very creative in lots of ways)
4. Craftyness (who makes lovely cards)
5. Predominantly Ranting (creative writing on PR, by my cousin)
6. Sheena Douglas (always inspiring, and making me smile)
7. Karen (who makes fantastic, inspiring cards)
