Boys birthdays

Hi, here's a wee pic of a 3D card I made for my daughter's friend's birthday (he's 4).  I used the candles from the birthday stamp set from PartiCraft, stamped with perfect medium and embossed with cosmic shimmer embossing powder.  I stamped the sentiment (from PartiCraft's Safari stamp set) with black archival ink, and then used nestabilities circle dies to cut it out. I cut another, larger circle as a mat.

WORKSHOP NEWS

The next workshop will be this Friday at 9.30am - 11am at Cornerstone House.

Mirror workshop

Hi, I thought you'd like to see some pic's from my workshop on Friday. It was a larger project - taking a plain mirror and altering it. So here are some pictures of the work in progress, and some of the finished mirrors:

This one is going to be a jungle theme, using the jungle, safari and monkeys stamp sets from PartiCraft. Stamped onto white card with archival black ink, and then painted with distress inks. This mirror was painted with a Radiant Rain paint dabber, and the embellishments were stamed and heat embossed onto white card, then painted with cosmic shimmer watercolours.  The photo doesn't show the colours very well.  The stamps on this mirror are from the Birthday and Butterfly1 stamp sets available from PartiCraft. The butterflies on this one were stamped with archival black ink, on white card and painted with distress ink.
This was the last workshop in this temporary venue, the next block starts on Oct 1st and will be back in Cornerstone House, in Cumbernauld town centre.
Thanks for coming!

Mini-book workshop

Hi all,

Todays workshop went well. I enjoyed it, and everyone was pleased with the mini-books they made. Lynsey has a tutorial on her blog of how to make it, if you want to have a go.  Click here to go to the tutorial.

The minibook is made from a single piece of 12"x12" double -sided scrapbook paper. Then the photo's can be cut, matted and layered in different combinations. You can use stamps, ribbon, cardstock, nestabilities etc to decorate the mini-book and personalise it.  Here are some pic's of the ones we made today. Nestabilities labels dies and circles made great frames for some of the photos.
These little books are great for birthdays, celebrating grandchildren, holiday memories etc.

Hope you like it,

Workshop and flowers

Hi, firstly here's a pic of one of the beautiful lilies my husband bought me for our anniversary on Friday. 17 years we've been married.
One of the ladies at my workshop had requested to make this tree and moon card, so that's what we did this week.  Here's some pics from the workshop, and the finished card. There are instructions how to make it on the PartiCraft website - click here.

Next week will be a longer workshop, and we will be making a mini-book/card like this one - so bring a few photo's with you.
There are a few places left at this workshop, so email me if you'd like to come.
