Boxes, boxes, boxes..

Today I got around to trying to make some gift boxes using my Eazi-score board (click here to see one). Up to now I've just used it for folding card blanks.

I decide to use some old Christmas cards, as I thought they'd make quick, interesting boxes. My daughter made some too. Here are the results:

We also made a couple from birthday cards:

Fourth workshop

Here's a couple of pic's of the ladies at my last workshop for now. They enjoyed it and learned some new things :-) Above: Heat embossing.
Below: Painting a stamped and embossed butterfly, with Cosmic Shimmer Watercolours.

I'm planning to run another series of workshops in November, dates to be arranged. They will have a Christmas theme. If you are interested coming please contact me via the email link on the sidebar.
That's all for now

third workshop, and some cards

My third workshop was a bit disappointing, because only one person turned up! However, we had fun anyway. I was showing how to paint with Adirindack pens and distress inks. I didn't take ay pics at the workshop, but here's some pics of cards I've made as examples for the workshops. All the stamps are available from PartiCraft.

The bear card was stamped with distres ink, and not painted - a quick, easy card.

The lily card was embossed and painted with cosmic shimmer watercolours.

These were stamped with black waterproof ink, and painted with Adirondack pens and distress inks.

I bought some second hand stamps, and they arrived today - very exciting. They are "Cat in the Hat" and "Football Crazy" from Bang on the door. My daughter (age 4) and I just had to get stamping with them right away.

Second workshop

I ran my second workshop yesterday, and it went well, although only 2 folk came. I demonstrated heat embossing and painting with cosmic shimmer watercolour paints. The ladies made bear cards, and mounted the embossed and painted bears onto different coloured card, and used scrapbook papers as a background.
They looked great. One lilac and one pink. Wish I'd taken photos!

Will try to rememeber my camera next time!

Workshop fun!

Just wanted to show you a few pics from the first workshop I did today - so here are a couple of pics I took at the workshop, and then a few of some cards I made as examples of cards we could make using stamps and coloured paper, without painting, or colouring them in. Tom made a layered medallion card. And this lady made a birthday card by layering up sections of the birthday present stamp, and "Happy Birthday" stamp. All the stamps are available from PartiCraft, so contact me if you would like more info, or to buy them!

As always, please let me know what you think!

Workshops in Cumbernauld

Just a quick post to say - my workshops start tomorrow morning - if you'd like to come, there are still a couple of places available!

Tomorrow we will be looking at stamping using different colours of ink and different types & colours of paper and card. We will cover simple do's and don'ts to get good stamped images. We will also look at cutting and folding your own card blanks.

I'll put up some pics tomorrow....
