Cornerstone Art Group

Hi, just a quick post to show you some pics from 3 workshops I ran for the Cornerstone Art Group which has recently started up. I was asked to run a few sessions for them, so I was pleased. I taught the group how to make gift boxes with an Eaziscore board, grungeboard bookmarks and bracelets (inspired by the ones I saw Sheena Douglass making on TV last year) and Christmas cards with the Light of the World stamp set from PartiCraft.

I really enjoyed working with the group, and they all did brilliantly - well done!

Christmas decoration workshop

Hi all! Well this week has been busy - my first week in a full-time job for 6 years! It's a temp. job so it'll maybe only last a few weeks, and I'm enjoying it so far.I've not had time for crafting, or blogging though, so here's some pics from the last workshop I did, on 12th November, and some pics of the various stages of the sample decoration I made before the workshop:

The circles were stamped and embossed with white embossing powder on black card, and painted with cosmic shimmer watercolours.  You need 20 circles to make one decoration. PartiCraft have a whole range of different designs. Click here to see them.

I didn't get pics of the later stages in the workshop - we were too busy trying to finish them!  The ladies used different colours of embossing powders, and made lovely decorations. I missed running the workshop this week, hope you are all able to do some crafting at home instead!

Keep crafting

Shaker cards...

Hi all,

Firstly, here's a pic of my stall at the craft fayre on Saturday, with my friend Isabel helping me out.

There were people selling home baking, hand knitted items, pictures, cross-stitch kits, handmade jewellery etc etc, and together we managed to raise over £600 for Cornerstone, so we were all pleased.

WORKSHOP NEWS

Here are some pic's from last Friday's workshop. I demo'd how to make a shaker card using nestabilities to cut the aperture and frames; heat embossing the images; and using cosmic shimmer watercolours. The cards all came out well, don't you think?

The stamped images are all from the Medallion set 2 A4 stamp set available from partiCraft. And the MERRY CHRISTMAS wording is available as an individual unmounted stamp as well.
This week's workshop will be the last one for a while, as I have got a full-time job for a few weeks, starting on Monday.

So this week we will be making a fantastic Christmas decoration, using these stamps, also available from PartiCraft:
If you want to come, there are a couple of spaces left. Email me to book - use the link on the sidebar. The workshop will be 9.30 till 12.45, with a 15 min break in the middle. Cost £12.

Bye for now,

Teri

Craft Fayre - Sat 6th Nov.

Just a quick note to say I will be at the Craft Fayre at Cornerstone House in Cumbernauld this Saturday. I will be selling candles, tea-light holders, cards and gift boxes.
There will be stalls selling jewelry, home baking, chutney, christmas tree decorations and lots more!
The Fayre is from 11 - 3pm, and the cafe is open so why not come along and have a cuppa, or lunch too?
Here's a few pic's of things I've decorated for the Fayre:

last week I got a set of embossing powders from Particraft, the Festive Sparkle set.  The colours are fantastic, and the powders have glitter in them, hence the sparkle.  I used the red and green on the bauble and nativity scene on the tea-light jar above.
All the stamps on these are from PartiCraft.

Hope to see you at the Craft Fayre!

Workshop pics better late than never!

Well, my internet wasn't working yesterday, so that's my excuse for not posting those pic's I promised!
It's back on for today but will probably be off all next week :-(

Anyway, here are the boxes we made in last week's workshop, I think they turned out really well:

We had all morning, so there was time for everyone to make two boxes. We used the Eaziscore board to make the boxes and the flower and butterfly shapes, distress inks and cosmic shimmer watercolours to colour the boxes, and various stamps from PartiCraft. The swirls were heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  If you want to know more details, just ask!

At this week's workshop we will be making shaker cards, as requested by one member of the group...should be fun!

PartiCraft party

Hi, I've been very busy this past week so not time for blogging unfortunately.
I did a PartiCraft party for my sister in Garelochhead, so I thought  I'd put up a pic. It was a fun evening.

I have some pics from Friday's workshop as well...so I will post them tomorrow.
If you were at the party - I hope you enjoyed it, and that you are now enjoying using your stamps and embossing powders.

Have fun crafting
